About ALBERT SCHREM

ALBERT SCHREM GmbH & Co. KG, based in Herbrechtingen near Ulm, is a traditional company of the German tool industry founded in 1920. The company develops and manufactures universal and special pullers for the safe removal of rolling bearings, gears and pulleys, as well as hydraulic clamping elements for axial clamping, known in professional circles as the SCHREM nut. Building on a patent grant in 1953, the hydraulic clamping elements operate with a self-contained hydraulic system via which clamping forces can be controlled and monitored using an integrated, factory-calibrated clamping force indicator. In addition to hydraulico-mechanical clamping elements, hydraulic tool holders (POLYMA-ADAPTA, VARIO-POLYMA, POLYMA-ADJUSTA, FACERA) and hydraulic force multipliers, the company develops individual customer-specific tool solutions, including special pullers for vehicle manufacturers such as VAG, Ford, MAN, IVECO and VW/Bosch. The products are used primarily in the tool and mechanical engineering sectors, in the woodworking machinery industry, in the food industry and in the automotive sector, and are characterized by simple, ergonomic handling and process reliability even under heavy loads.
