Albert Tschan GmbH & Co. KG is a machine factory located in Neunkirchen (Saarland) that manufactures non-shifting mechanical shaft couplings. The supply of elastic couplings and accessories for conveyor systems has been documented historically since the years 1963 to 1981. The well-known TSCHAN® coupling ranges – elastic claw couplings (TNM, TNS, TNB), high-speed elastic couplings (TNR), steel plate couplings (TND), gear couplings (TNZ), drum couplings (TNK), and safety couplings (TNT) – are currently distributed under the RINGFEDER® brand; sales and contact are managed by RINGFEDER POWER TRANSMISSION. The couplings are used in demanding heavy-duty applications, including in the steel and metal industry, construction and plant engineering, conveying technology, diesel-electric plant construction, power generation, and mining equipment. Materials used include high-strength or quenched steel, stainless spring steel for plate packs, as well as elastomer rings and buffers in various hardness grades.
