About ALBIS
ALBIS is an independent distributor of thermoplastic polymers headquartered in Hamburg. The portfolio comprises standard polymers, engineering plastics, thermoplastic elastomers, high-performance polymers and a growing number of sustainable products – more than 40 polymer types, around 3,500 grades and over 11,500 grade-colour combinations. Depending on the polymer, ALBIS exclusively represents brands of globally leading manufacturers and additionally distributes its own compounding brands such as Alcom, Altech, Alfater and Shelfplus. A TSAD team (Technical Service Application Development) supports customers from product design engineering through material selection to prototypes, toolmaking, sampling and series production support. With around 500 employees at 26 locations in Europe, North Africa, Asia and South America, ALBIS supplies more than 13,000 customers; in Europe, over 400,000 tonnes are delivered annually from more than 30 shipping warehouses with an on-time delivery rate of over 98%. Core industries are automotive, healthcare/medical technology, packaging and electrical engineering. The company belongs to the Otto Krahn Group.
