About ALCAR
The ALCAR Group is an internationally active industrial and trading group with a strategic focus on steel and light alloy wheels for the automotive aftermarket. Its core business comprises the development, production and distribution of alloy wheels (sizes 13 to 22 inches for passenger cars, off-road vehicles and light trucks), steel wheels, TPMS sensors, tyres, complete wheels and accessories. The Group operates two of its own production plants: ALCAR Leichtmetallräder Produktion GmbH in Neuenrade (Germany) with a capacity of 1.2 million aluminium wheels per year, and ALCAR Ruote SA in Manno (Switzerland) with more than 2 million steel wheels per year. Production takes place in aluminium and steel, increasingly using low carbon footprint aluminium and electric steel; chips and scrap are remelted and returned to the production cycle. During manufacturing, the wheels are continuously inspected for dimensional accuracy, material homogeneity, surface quality and leak tightness. With around 800 employees, more than 29 companies in 16 European countries and its own brands AEZ, DOTZ, DEZENT, DOTZ 4x4, DBV, ALCAR Stahlrad and ALCAR Sensor, the Group supplies tyre dealers, workshops, vehicle importers and fleet operators in Europe and North America.
