alder haustechnik GmbH is a family-owned company based in Herisau in the Appenzellerland region (Switzerland), specialising in the planning, execution and maintenance of plumbing and heating systems as well as piping construction. The range of services also includes ventilation; customers receive an all-round service from a single source, from project planning through installation to ongoing maintenance. The company originated from a tinsmithy founded in 1898 in Schwellbrunn, which moved to Herisau in 1943 and was later expanded to include plumbing installations. As of 1 January 2017, Judith and Matthias Widmer took over the long-established business and continue to run it as alder haustechnik GmbH, with the heating sector as a new service focus. Customers are private individuals and commercial clients in the region, particularly for bathrooms, renovations and building services systems.
