ALi Corporation (TWSE: 3041) is a fabless semiconductor design manufacturer spun off from Acer in 1993, headquartered in Taipei. The company develops digital multimedia audio and video SoCs, in particular chips for set-top boxes (DVB-C, DVB-S/S2X, DVB-T2, IP decoders), and is one of the world's largest STB chip suppliers with more than 800 million single chips shipped cumulatively. Based on its own portfolio of around 400 patents and approximately 140–200 silicon IP cores (including USB, Ethernet, HDMI, DDR), ALi offers ASIC design services (NRE) for Arm and RISC-V architectures as well as IP licensing, including 4K/8K multimedia platforms and chiplets. With its in-house AI neural processing engine "ALiIN", the company covers smart display, smart audio, HMI solutions (including home appliances, industrial control, e-scooter dashboards, charging stations) and robotics solutions with SLAM navigation. The chips are integrated into the pay-TV ecosystems of more than 100 operators worldwide via security certifications from Nagra, Conax, Verimatrix and Irdeto. Research, services and sales are represented at locations in Taipei, Hsinchu, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Chengdu, Seoul (Seongnam) and Noida.

The STB chips are certified to security standards from Nagra (NOCS 1.2/3.0), Conax (CP 6.0, Level 4), Verimatrix, Irdeto (Flexicore) and GlobalPlatform.
