About Allmetal
Allmetal, Inc. is a privately held company founded in 1915, headquartered in Itasca, Illinois (Chicago area), with seven production and distribution locations worldwide. The company manufactures laser-welded Air Spacers, Muntin Bars and decorative products as well as components such as Screen Channels and Sill Track Covers for the insulating glass, window and door industry. The manufacturing processes include roll forming with laser welding, injection molding, slitting of coil material, as well as in-house tool and die making (Tooling & Design Division). Materials processed include aluminum (anodized, mill finish, painted), Hi-Q Steel, Black Steel, electrogalvanized steel, stainless steel as well as plastics such as Nylon 6, ABS and polyester. In 1979, Allmetal was the first supplier to combine roll forming and laser welding and introduced the laser-welded Air Spacer. In 2000, the first European plant was opened with Allmetal GmbH in Leipzig to serve European customers.
