About Almatis
Almatis is a global partner for the development, production and distribution of high-quality alumina (Al₂O₃) and alumina-based products. The product portfolio includes tabular alumina (including ECO-TAB®, T60/T64), calcium aluminate cements (CA-14 to CA-680), reactive and calcined aluminas, spinels as well as calcium hexaluminate aggregates (CA6) and Brown Fused Alumina. The products are used in refractory materials (including monolithic unshaped materials for casting, ramming, shot-creting and gunning), in the ceramics and glass industry, for polishing applications, in construction chemistry and in specialized chemical applications. Production takes place at multiple production sites in Germany, the USA, India, China, Japan and the Netherlands, supplemented by grinding capacities in Leetsdale (US). With over a century of experience in alumina research and development, the company focuses on continuous process and product innovation as well as a global distribution network. The headquarters is located in Botlek RT (Rotterdam), Netherlands; in Germany, Almatis GmbH operates in Ludwigshafen.
