About Almdudler
Almdudler is a Vienna-based family company that has been marketing the Alpine herb lemonade Almdudler since 1957. The company itself discontinued in-house production in 1973 and has since acted as a licensor: around 300 to 350 bottlers, including Vöslauer/Ottakringer and Egger in Austria, produce the lemonade according to a uniform recipe. The Original consists of water, sugar, natural herb extracts (including lemon balm, sage, gentian, elderflower), citric acid, carbon dioxide and sugar coloring. In addition to the Original, the product range includes sugar-free variants, mate and guarana energy drinks, syrup and Skiwasser syrup. More than 80 million liters are bottled annually, with roughly 20 percent (as of 2014) going to foreign markets. The company's headquarters are located in the Almdudler House in Vienna-Döbling; the sales subsidiary Almdudler Deutschland GmbH is based in Cologne.
