About Almendo Technologies / bluSensor®
Almendo Technologies GmbH develops and produces its own IoT sensor hardware, firmware and an associated cloud platform under the bluSensor® brand. Wireless sensors and data loggers for temperature, humidity, CO₂, VOC and particulate matter are manufactured based on Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN and NB-IoT, complemented by gateways, apps and dashboards. The value chain ranges from circuit and PCB development through firmware development including secure bootloader and over-the-air updates to final assembly in Austria or at selected European partners; sensor components come from a Swiss manufacturer. A focus lies on energy-autonomous sensor technology with energy harvesting and ultra-low power consumption for maintenance-free continuous operation. Application areas include cold chain monitoring and HACCP in gastronomy, temperature monitoring in pharmaceuticals and hospitals, indoor air and CO₂ monitoring in building technology, as well as retail, logistics and public facilities. In addition, the company offers Sensor as a Service including rollouts with more than 1,000 sensors at hundreds of locations.

Security and Quality
According to the company's own statements, the cloud infrastructure is ISO 27001 compliant, and all data is stored in the EU. At device level, TLS encryption, unique device certificates, encrypted flash memory and a secure bootloader are used; the sensors are individually tested and calibrated at the factory (Automotive Grade AEC-Q100).
