About ALPAVIT

ALPAVIT is a German manufacturer of dried milk and whey products and belongs to the private Champignon-Hofmeister group of companies with more than 100 years of brand experience. Within the group, ALPAVIT is responsible for the production and distribution of dried products based on milk and whey. The portfolio includes demineralised whey powder (Demin 50/70/90), lactose in the Pharma, DC, Extrafine, Refined and Edible qualities, whey protein concentrates as well as roller-dried whole milk powder and A2 milk products. The processes include roller drying, spray drying, demineralisation by ion exchange, electrodialysis and nanofiltration as well as crystallisation and milling of lactose. Customers are industries such as infant nutrition, confectionery, sports nutrition, food and pharmaceuticals for international markets. The three production sites are located in Lauben (Allgäu), Moosburg (Upper Bavaria) and Freiberg (Saxony); since 2018, raw materials of organic origin have also been processed.
