About Alpha Biocare
Alpha Biocare GmbH, based in Neuss, develops and manufactures products for pets and humans as well as pest control products on a contract basis. The company is rooted in more than 30 years of parasitological research by Prof. Dr. Heinz Mehlhorn and colleagues at Ruhr University Bochum and Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Known product lines include repellents against mosquitoes, ticks, harvest mites, horseflies and flies (including ANTICKS®) as well as medications for ornamental fish. In addition to development and contract manufacturing, Alpha Biocare offers efficacy testing of products against pests and parasites of any kind as well as microscopic examinations of submitted samples. The team comprises graduate biologists, graduate chemists and further specialist staff. After initial premises in the Life Science Center Düsseldorf, the company has operated its own production site in Neuss (Hansemannstraße 73) since 2015.
