Alpha Commodities is an internationally active salt trading company with over 30 years of experience, headquartered in Neuchâtel (Switzerland). The family-run company, now in its third generation, supplies customers worldwide with a broad range of salt products: vacuum salt in fine and granular PDV quality, boiled salt, salt tablets and lick blocks. The products serve the pharmaceutical industry and chlor-alkali plants, winter road maintenance (de-icing agents), water softening, food production and animal nutrition. Alpha Commodities sources salt from contractually bound producers in several countries of origin and organizes the entire logistics chain from source to delivery, including chartering of bulk carriers, transshipment via small vessels, barges and land transport as well as laboratory-tested quality control. With locations in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Canada, plus warehousing (physical inventory in Liverpool since 2025), the company serves both shipload wholesale and small, urgent requirements.
