About alpharim
alpharim polymers GmbH manufactures in Wels (Austria) semi-finished products and moulded parts from Nyrim, a particularly impact-resistant polyamide-6 block copolymer, using Nyrim casting (RIM, Reaction Injection Moulding). The pressureless mould casting process is suitable for small and medium batch sizes and enables components up to 35 kg with varying wall thicknesses at low internal stresses. In addition to moulded parts, round rods and plates are produced as semi-finished products, as well as Nyrim composites with in-situ polymerised glass or carbon fibre reinforcement; insert parts and textile reinforcements are possible. With the material alpharim 1500, FOPS-tested covers according to ISO 3449 are realised without metal reinforcement. The products are used in mechanical, plant and tool engineering, in winter technology (including cable cars), in transport and rail transport as well as in commercial vehicles, for example as housing covers, spring relief blocks, brake pads or support feet for mobile crane systems.
