About AQT
Alpine Quantum Technologies GmbH (AQT) is a spin-off of the University of Innsbruck and the Austrian Academy of Sciences, founded by quantum physicists Rainer Blatt, Thomas Monz and Peter Zoller. The company develops and manufactures universal quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology, integrated as complete systems into two individual 19-inch racks. The systems operate at room temperature, require less than 2 kW of electrical power, and need no special cooling, water or power infrastructure. In addition to fully integrated quantum computers, AQT offers on-demand access to quantum computers and quantum simulators via the ARNICA cloud platform, as well as SDK connectors for common quantum software tools. The portfolio is complemented by measurement instruments such as PINE SET-UP, BEECH and ROWAN. Customers include research institutions, industry, public authorities and data centers, among them the Deutsche Bundesbank, the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre and T-Systems. Headquarters are in Innsbruck, with a branch office in Planegg near Munich.
