About Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu
Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu Glauner GmbH is an independent family brewery from Alpirsbach in the Black Forest. Founded in 1877 by Johann Gottfried Glauner, the company reactivated the former monastery brewery of Alpirsbach Abbey and has been continuously owned by the Glauner family since then, now in its fourth generation. The product range includes various beer styles such as Pils, Spezial and Schwarzwald Michel as well as KlosterGarten juice spritzers, KlosterLimo lemonades and spirits from the Kloster Destille. The brewery and sole production site is Alpirsbach, where around 200,000 hectoliters of beer are produced annually. A special feature is a pipeline that connects the spatially separate brewhouse with the fermentation and storage cellar and the filling plant. The brewery is a member of the association Die Freien Brauer and, in addition to its production operation, offers museum tours, beer seminars and event rooms.
