About ALSICAL
ALSICAL Hüttenwerkstechnik GmbH was founded in 1993 and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of INTOCAST AG since 2013. The company supplies the German and European steel industry with products for iron and steel production. The product portfolio comprises continuous casting mould powders and granules (ALSIFLUX), ingot casting powders and granules (ALSICAST), insulating covering compounds for ladle and tundish (ALSICOVER), exothermic covering agents for ingot casting (LUNKERTHERM) and metallurgical slags for steel refining (ALSITOP). Production in Großdubrau consists of two spray dryers with a capacity of 20.000 Jato as well as a powder mixer with 1.000 Jato; the slurry is produced in stirring tanks with a capacity of up to 25 tonnes. The spray tower, newly built in 2017, operates using the latest process technology and ensures stable product quality. The company operates a quality management system in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 and has had an energy management system in accordance with DIN ISO 50001 since 2015.
