About Altimum Formation

Altimum Formation SA is a Swiss training centre for work at height and professional verticality. The company trains specialists in rope access according to the international IRATA standard (levels 1, 2 and 3) as well as in technical rescue according to ITRA Corde, and conducts the corresponding examinations. Further offerings include basic introductions to the use of PPE against falls, training for confined spaces (espaces confinés), specific training depending on the work-at-height activity as well as training at external locations. Altimum is a Petzl Technical Partner and provides participants with the complete fall protection equipment (PPE). The training centres are located in Palézieux (headquarters), Sion, Satigny/Geneva, Greifensee/Zurich and Cornaux/Neuchâtel; training is offered in French and German. Target industries are industry, energy, infrastructure, telecommunications and civil engineering structures.

Certifications and Examination

Altimum is certified as an IRATA Trainer Member Company and is audited by IRATA every three years; examinations are conducted by independent assessors or ITRA examiners who are separate from the training. Certificates are valid for 2–3 years depending on the training; for IRATA, re-certification is required every 3 years.
