The Altstadthotel Brauerei-Gasthof Winkler e.K. in Berching operates its own brewery, a Bavarian inn, an Old Town hotel and conference facilities. Beer has been brewed in the house since 1826; the range includes, among others, pale Lagerbier, Premium Pils from the tap, Volksfestbier and Josefi Bock. The hotel was renovated in 2021 in keeping with its listed-building status and offers modern rooms with oak wood and natural materials as well as breakfast included. For conferences, two renovated seminar rooms for up to 25 people are available; in addition, group tours, celebrations and brewery tours with beer tasting are offered. The house is located in the middle of Bavaria between Nuremberg, Ingolstadt and Regensburg and has 35 parking spaces, two e-charging stations (22 kW), a secured bicycle storage room with 20 charging points and a sustainable energy supply. The kitchen focuses on fresh, seasonal and vegetarian dishes based on Slow Food principles.
