About Alu-met
Alu-met GmbH, headquartered in Nüziders (Vorarlberg, Austria), is a producer and supplier of aluminium extrusion billets of the AlMgSi (6xxx) alloy group. The corporate group includes two remelt foundries: Aluminium GmbH Nachrodt (AGN) in Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde (Germany) with a capacity of 84,000 t/year and Speedline Aluminium Gießerei GmbH in Schlins (Austria) with 96,000 t/year, together 180,000 t/year. As remelt foundries, the company processes customer and trade scrap in closed-loop recycling into specification-compliant extrusion billets and additionally uses green primary aluminium from renewable energies. The billets, with diameters of 152 to 348 mm and lengths of 1,200 to 8,000 mm, are supplied exclusively to around 40 extrusion plants in Europe, whose profiles are used in plant and mechanical engineering, automotive, construction, trade and the electrical industry. Founded in 1980, the independent group employs around 130 staff and achieved revenue of approximately 280 million euros in 2025. With a high recycling share, the CO2 footprint averages 3.05 t CO2 per tonne of billet.
