About AOS
Aluminium Oxid Stade GmbH (AOS) produces aluminium oxide and aluminium hydroxide from bauxite at the Stade-Bützfleth site using the Bayer process. Production has been running 24/7 since 1973 on a 55-hectare company site. With an annual capacity of 1.05 million tonnes of aluminium oxide, the company ranks among the established producers in Europe. The 544 employees, including 65 apprentices, have an average length of service of 19 years. The products are used, among other things, in the metal, ceramic, refractory, glass, zeolite and detergent industries as well as in water treatment, petrochemicals and catalyst manufacturing. In addition, AOS offers calcination of aluminium oxide up to 1400 °C as well as grinding and sieving processes.
