About AM Metals
AM Metals GmbH, based in Halsbrücke near Freiberg (Saxony), specialized in additive manufacturing of metal parts. The company developed and marketed process and production techniques in the field of additive manufacturing, in particular for the production of metal parts using DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) and SLM (Selective Laser Melting) on EOS systems. Its services covered the entire process chain: technology consulting, product and component development, simulation and optimization, customer-specific material qualification, 3D digitization and reverse engineering, through to 3D printing of prototypes, individual parts and batches. Post-processing included CNC machining, polishing and heat treatment; quality assurance was carried out by optical roughness and surface measurement. Customers came from mechanical engineering, aerospace, medical technology, energy, mobility and the maritime sector. As part of a strategic restructuring, AM Metals GmbH was fully integrated into EOS GmbH Electro Optical Systems in early February 2025 and was deleted from the commercial register on 25.02.2025.
