About am surf
Founded in 1998, am surf modelltechnik GmbH specialises in the modelling and visualisation of design-relevant surfaces. The company supports the entire process chain from the concept surface through design modelling to Class A production strak, according to each customer's individual requirements. The modelling processes are supported by powerful visualisation, complemented by CAD/CAS modelling, clay modelling and model making. In close collaboration with the specialist departments of OEMs, numerous vehicles have been developed – from individual assemblies to complete vehicles, both virtual and physical, up to drivable show cars. Its services also include full-scale models, such as the first full-scale model of the Volkswagen ID. CROSS Concept, milled from a single block. The company employs 51–200 staff at three sites in Wettstetten, Gifhorn and Osnabrück and operates 5-axis CNC milling machines in its own machine park.
