Amberger Glas is a family business founded in 1970 in Amberg with a focus on the manufacture of insulating glass. In its own plant, thermal, acoustic and solar-control glazing, fire-resistant glass, safety glass (laminated and toughened) and alarm glass are machine-produced, including custom designs and triple insulating glazing. An in-house glass workshop performs cutting, glass grinding, bevelled edge grinding, sandblasting, UV bonding, decorative glazing, and mirror and curved-glass production. Customers include industry, metal, window and facade construction trades, architects, planners and private customers. The range of services extends from consulting and planning through production and delivery with its own vehicle fleet including crane technology to millimetre-precise installation, glass repair and a 24-hour glass emergency service. On 4500 m² of production facilities, glass workshop, warehouse and showroom, the company employs around 60 staff; glass offcuts are returned to the production cycle via recycling.

Laminated safety glass
Safety glass with an interlayer film for protection against break-ins, injury and falls; processed in its own hall since 2012.
Toughened safety glass
Base for safety and alarm glass with electrical loop for connection to alarm systems.
Insulating glass
Thermal, acoustic and solar-control glazing with coatings, gas fillings and optimised edge seal.
Fire-resistant glass
Special glass for building-physics fire protection requirements, combinable with other insulating glass functions.

The products carry the CE mark and are subject to in-house factory production control; external monitoring by the Institut für Fenstertechnik e.V. Rosenheim takes place several times a year. As a member of the CLIMAplusSECURIT® network (CSP), the glass complies with the Construction Products Directive and can be used throughout Europe.
