From a craft business founded in 1913, the Schmelzer Group has developed into a company with two main locations in Germany and the Czech Republic plus seven further sites worldwide. The company manufactures sheet-metal pipes and pipework with diameters of 100 to 4,000 mm at sheet thicknesses of 1 to 12 mm, as well as spiral-welded pipes, a modular running-pipe modular system NW 100–400 mm with precise beaded edge, cyclones, electrostatic filters, furnaces, smooth-wall silos, chimneys to DIN EN 13084-7 and large dynamically balanced welded assemblies for the automotive industry. Production includes beading, welding, dynamic balancing, surface grinding, in-house toolmaking as well as in-house design, structural engineering and dimensioning. New installations, conversions and modernizations are installed by the company's own assembly firm Schmelzer & Pisek. The divisions Agricultural Technology, Modular Piping Systems, Plant Engineering, Assembly Manufacturing and Sheet-Metal Work supply customers in the agricultural and automotive industries as well as in plant, furnace, filter and power plant engineering.
