Don Brookfield Sr., an electrochemist and MIT graduate, develops and sells the first dial-reading viscometer, thereby founding the company.
- 1939
Don Brookfield Sr. leaves the Gillette Co. and devotes himself fully to the business; contributes to the war effort with electronics for airborne radar and radio technology.
