About Amphenol AUXEL
For over 25 years, Amphenol AUXEL has offered a complete interconnect portfolio and engineering support for IT, industrial and renewable energy systems, covering both power distribution and power conversion. The company develops and manufactures low-inductance busbars, custom interconnects, power terminals, grounding connections and connector solutions for busbar systems. A key focus is OLST technology (Optimized Local Surface Treatment), in which copper is permanently applied to aluminium by dynamic cold gas spraying – combined with fast robotic systems. Other processes include laminated busbars as well as varnished insulated (laminated) busbars (VIB/VILB) with varnish insulation, micro-spraying and UV-LED curing. Customer industries include rail transport, electric vehicles, industry, energy storage, IT/Datacom, medical technology, renewable energies, aerospace, and marine. The company is part of the Amphenol Group (Amphenol Global Interconnect Systems) and uses globally networked design and manufacturing sites.

Materials & Processes
Copper
Conductor material for busbars, contacts and as copper layer in the OLST process
Aluminium
Lightweight conductor material that is locally copper-coated in the OLST process
OLST – Optimized Local Surface Treatment (cold gas spraying)
Separable, fusion-free copper deposition on aluminium by means of a dynamic cold gas spray process (Cold Spray)
VIB/VILB – Varnished Insulated (Laminated) Busbar
Varnish insulation from electric motor manufacturing with micro-spraying and UV-LED curing as an alternative to insulating film or powder coating
