About AMPowder
AMPowder AG, headquartered in Dübendorf, Switzerland, is a specialized company for the production of spherical, highly free-flowing micro polymer powders for powder-based additive manufacturing processes. The proprietary, purely physical production process converts commercially available polymer granulates into spherical micro particles – without the use of chemicals. Compared to processes such as milling, this results in a smooth, crack-free particle surface, a controlled particle size distribution, and a significantly higher bulk density combined with excellent flowability. Process development began in 2016 together with the partner company BioStruct GmbH; since then, the core team and partner network have grown. The service portfolio includes, in addition to powder production, continuous quality control of particle size, distribution and surface, the development of AM process parameters per powder, customer-specific powder developments with a feasibility check at the start of a project, as well as the manufacture of 3D-printed components.
