About AMS Arneburg

AMS Arneburger Maschinen- und Stahlbau GmbH is a mid-sized family business founded in 1996 and based in Arneburg (Altmark, Saxony-Anhalt). After the end of the Arneburg power plant construction site, the company was established by engineers and skilled workers from the site and today manufactures for renowned German and international customers. The portfolio includes welded fabrications as single-part production or small batches, cutting via CNC flame cutting (3–350 mm sheet thickness), drilling and sawing, mechanical production with CNC drilling machines, milling and turning automats as well as vertical turning machines. The value chain is rounded off by in-house shot blasting and painting as well as the assembly of drive systems including plant erection and function testing. With 18,000 m² of workshop floor space on the Altmark industrial and commercial park, plus rail, road and Elbe port connections, the production facilities allow unit weights of up to 50 t. Core industries are mining, plant engineering, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding as well as power plant and energy supply. In 2003, the crane construction business division was spun off into AMS Kranbau GmbH.
