Swiss engineering for unmanned helicopter flight

ANAVIA AG is a Swiss robotics and aerospace company headquartered in Bilten (Canton Glarus), founded in 2019 and part of EDGE Group PJSC, Abu Dhabi. The company, with more than 150 employees, designs, develops and manufactures unmanned helicopter systems (VTOL UAVs) to manned aviation standards. The portfolio includes the tactical helicopter HT-100 (120 kg MTOW, 60 kg payload, 6 h flight endurance, 600 km range) with land and naval variants as well as the heavy-lift platform HT-750 (1,150 kg MTOW, 750 kg payload, 2,500 km range). Key technical features are Flettner intermeshing rotors without a tail rotor, a 15 kW shaft turbine running on JET A-1 fuel with a 1,000-flight-hour TBO, a sealed, self-lubricating gearbox, and a carbon-fibre airframe weighing 58 kg empty. ANAVIA covers the entire value chain – from concept through composite manufacturing, avionics, software and flight testing to series production with a capacity of more than 100 UAVs per year. Fields of application include ISR, naval operations, infrastructure inspection, search and rescue, and logistics. All systems are ITAR-free and exportable worldwide.
