About Ventprom
Ventprom (Artyomovsky Machine-Building Plant «VENTPROM») is a Russian machine-building plant based in Artyomovsky in Sverdlovsk Oblast. The company manufactures ventilation and fan technology, in particular main mine ventilation fans (axial, radial and mixed-flow fans), fans for metro and transport tunnels, gas extraction and dedusting systems as well as components for mining equipment such as drilling equipment add-ons and conveyor belt parts. Production comprises plasma cutting, robotic welding with Japanese systems, machining and final assembly; the main material is steel. The plant includes its own design department and a wind tunnel test station for fan testing. Customers include mining and industrial companies such as Lukoil and the SUAL Group; at the end of the 1980s, the production peak of 1,200 fans per year was reached and products were exported to more than 30 countries.

History
- 1941
Plant construction in Skopin (Ryazan Oblast) for coal mining equipment; evacuation to Artyomovsky (Urals), production of ammunition and drilling equipment
- nach 1945
Remained in Artyomovsky; conversion to underground mining equipment, mainly main mine ventilation fans
- Ende 1950er–
First modernization: new workshops (assembly, machining, repair, toolmaking), own design department, the only wind tunnel test station in the USSR; product expansion to include metro fans, dedusters and welding electrodes
- 1960er–1970e
Development of the metro axial fans PTO-16M, PTO-18, PTO-24 and VOMD-2.4
- Ende 1980er
Production peak of 1,200 fans/year, export to more than 30 countries, new blower lines for the metro
- 2000er
Adoption of German engineering designs, new fan line for methane extraction, implementation of plasma cutting systems and Japanese welding robots
