Water-i.d. GmbH is a German manufacturer of professional water testing equipment based in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. Founded in 2003 as Pool-i.d. OHG in Karlsruhe, the company evolved from a single-use pool tester into a broad water analysis portfolio: photometers (PoolLab 1.0/2.0, PrimeLab 2.0), pool testers, test blocks, comparators, test strips, electronic measuring devices and self-manufactured reagent tablets. Since 2007, Water-i.d. has produced blister-packed tablet reagents in-house with its own tablet presses and a blister machine; the company was the first supplier worldwide to offer reagent tablets in push-through blisters. Plastic parts, test blocks and test strips are manufactured in China using the company's own tooling. In addition, the company offers software, apps, cloud services and connected analysis solutions as well as OEM/private-label production for retail chains and a worldwide distributor network. Water-i.d. supplies customers in 101 countries, particularly in the pool/spa market, in laboratories, industry, marine, public swimming pools and professional service markets.
