The Company

Ancofer Stahlhandel GmbH is a stockist wholesaler and steel service center headquartered in Mülheim an der Ruhr, specialized in supplying hot-rolled heavy plate (quarto) and flame-cut parts. The product range covers structural steels to DIN EN 10025, pressure vessel steels to DIN EN 10028, fine-grain structural steels, wear-resistant and high-strength steels, and safety steel (DIFENDER). In its own flame-cutting facility covering 8,500 sqm, CNC-controlled flame-cut blanks (oxy-fuel and plasma) up to 600 mm thickness, 9,000 mm width and 30,000 mm length are produced, complemented by edge-beveling robots, shot-blasting and straightening systems. With around 50,000 tonnes of heavy plate in stock and access to more than 100,000 tonnes via the Dillinger network, Ancofer serves industries such as steel construction, mechanical and plant engineering, pressure vessel construction, automotive, offshore and shipbuilding. The company, with around 120 employees, is a subsidiary of AG der Dillinger Hüttenwerke and has trimodal reloading capabilities with 18 crane systems up to 50 tonnes lifting capacity.
