Andreas Rathmayr GmbH is a family business founded in 1947, headquartered in Passau, specializing in the painting and finishing of demanding surfaces. Core competencies include carbon (CFRP) painting with multiple clearcoat layers and a Class-A finish, the painting of plastic components, and the painting of individual parts, prototypes and small series up to complete bodies. The service portfolio also includes automated raw-part sanding of carbon parts, film coating, color matching, electronically supported assembly in accordance with VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949, as well as logistics concepts with JIS/JIT delivery and EDI-based production control. Customers include renowned automotive manufacturers and suppliers such as BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen and McLaren Automotive. The Passau/Heining site features three halls with painting systems LA 1 and LA 2 as well as a fully automated robotic sanding cell for large-surface CFRP parts; a plant extension of around 4,000 m² is under construction. The quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
