About Animal hope e.V.

Animal hope e.V. operates a sanctuary in Rosenberg on the edge of the Odenwald in Baden-Württemberg. The farm was founded by Felicia Ruhland, who previously ran a sanctuary in Pforzheim for ten years and one in Illingen for 20 years; thanks to an unexpected inheritance, she was able to purchase her own farm in Rosenberg. The farm currently houses around 60 animals, including horses, ponies, cattle, donkeys, goats, pigs, dogs and cats, which were abandoned, exploited or mistreated by humans. In addition to taking in and caring for animals for life, the association places dogs and cats in good homes and offers animal sponsorships and memberships. Funding comes exclusively from donations; the association also holds celebrations and regularly opens its farm café (every first Sunday of the month) to visitors. The sanctuary also sees itself as a place of encounter between humans and animals and integrates people in need under the motto 'Animals help people and people help animals'.
