About ANKA-Draht
ANKA-Draht Andreas Insinger GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized family business in Neunburg vorm Wald (Upper Palatinate) that has been producing bare and tin-plated copper wires as well as copper strands since 1971. The product range includes round wires with diameters from 0.04 to 2.5 mm according to DIN EN 13602, UL, VDE, AWG, ASTM, IEC and BS, as well as strands and ropes with cross-sections from 0.02 to 95 mm², including bunch-stranded strands, ultra-fine strands, concentric, semi-concentric and Unilay strands, as well as equal-lay, opposite-lay and cross-lay ropes. Products are manufactured on wire drawing and bunching machines from the materials Cu-ETP1 (ETP) and Cu-OF1 (oxygen-free copper); tinning is carried out with tin SN 99.90 according to DIN 1704. Value-added services include an in-house drawing-die polishing shop, annealing processes and delivery on spools with fill weights from 2 to 1,600 kg. Customers come primarily from the electrical and automotive supply industries as well as medical technology; delivery is by freight forwarder throughout Europe. Braided products such as braid braids, flat strands and shields are manufactured by the sister company KF Insinger in Luhe-Wildenau.
