About ANKO Planen
ANKO Planen GmbH manufactures and assembles technical textiles, primarily custom-made fabric-reinforced PVC tarps, at its site in Kummerfeld (Schleswig-Holstein). The product range includes truck and trailer tarps, cover tarps and covers, terrace and carport tarps, roof tarps for pergolas, pavilions and tents, shade sails, camping windbreaks and pool covers, including the proprietary brand AirDeluxe® for inflatable pool tarps. Tarps are ordered to the exact millimetre via online configurators with selection of colour, shape, eyelets, keder, hem, tunnel hem, reinforcements and cut-outs; production takes place in the in-house assembly workshop through cutting and welding. PVC tarps with area weights of 450 to 900 g/m² (Classic and Premium versions) as well as PE tarps are used; the material is sourced from European manufacturers, and according to the company the stock of tarp material exceeds 1,000,000 m². Customers come from the transport sector, camping and leisure, horticulture, agriculture, construction, event technology and the swimming pool sector. Founded in 2016 as a sole proprietorship, the GmbH has existed since 2020 and has operated the Kummerfeld site since 2024, which now covers more than 10,000 m² of company premises. The quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015; sales are conducted via the company's own online shop, sales platforms and a delivery area covering Europe.

Fabric-reinforced, coated PVC tarps in 450–900 g/m², UV-resistant, waterproof and tear-resistant; available as Classic (450–700 g/m², -20 to +70 °C) and Premium (680–900 g/m², -30 to +70 °C, high-gloss lacquered).
PE tarp
Alternative tarp material made of polyethylene; according to the source less commonly used; PVC tarps are presented as more durable and more UV-stable compared to PE tarps.

Company History
- 2016
Founding as a sole proprietorship ANKO Planen on 01.03.2016 in a rented property of approx. 140 m²; activities: tarp repair and distribution of PVC tarp material.
- 2017
Move to a 600 m² production building and entry into online commerce via sales platforms such as eBay and Amazon.
- 2018
Launch of the company's own online shop planen-online-shop.de with online configuration of the products.
- 2020
Founding of ANKO Planen GmbH with 10 employees; the GmbH took over the day-to-day business.
- 2021
Doubling of the number of employees to 20 and expansion of production to over 1,200 m².
- 2024
Occupancy of the new site at 25495 Kummerfeld with 7,500 m² total area.
