Anlagenbau Böhmer GmbH is a family-owned company based in Mudersbach (Niederschelderhütte), specializing in the manufacture and maintenance of heat exchangers. The production program includes gasketed (bolted/sealed) plate heat exchangers, brazed versions (copper, nickel or stainless steel brazing), fully welded plate heat exchangers as well as tube heat exchangers and custom-made special designs, including 1:1 replicas of third-party products. Plate materials are stainless steels such as 1.4301, 1.4401, 1.4404, 1.4539, SMO 254, titanium and Hastelloy C276; gasket materials used are NBR, EPDM and FKM (Viton), some with FDA approval for food applications. In addition to new production, the company offers repair, maintenance contracts, chemical and mechanical plate cleaning, on-site CIP cleaning, dye penetrant testing, re-gasketing, frame replication as well as spare parts and loaner unit service with on-site deployment within 24 hours. Customers include plant engineering, the food and beverage industry, chemicals and pharma, biogas technology, HVAC and refrigeration, district heating, water treatment as well as the metal and steel industries. Since 2020 the company has been located on the site of the former Charlottenhütte steelworks in Mudersbach.
