About annex
Annex is a manufacturer of modular solid wood kitchens and solid wood furniture founded in 1993 by Dipl.-Ing. Ralf Finkemeyer, based in Enger (East Westphalia). The product range includes kitchen modules, kitchen trolleys, dining tables, bathroom furniture and kitchen accessories made of solid wood in accordance with DIN 68871. All furniture is 100 % manufactured in the company's own workshop in Germany: the wood parts are sorted by hand and milled to millimetre precision using modern CNC technology, followed by handcrafted processing and assembly by experienced carpenters. Surface protection is achieved entirely without lacquer through multiple hand-applied oiling and waxing with solvent-free, sun-bleached linseed oil. Only solid woods from sustainable regional forestry are used, including beech, heartwood beech and oak; supplemented by stainless steel, granite, ceramic and crystal glass. The modular kitchens are delivered fully assembled – as standard to Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as to the Benelux countries.

History
- 1993
Founding of annex GmbH & Co Küchenmöbel KG by Ralf Finkemeyer in Enger; started with small furniture and an integrable waste separation system; annex became the first specialist for kitchen trolleys, which were sold among others to KADEWE, Harrods and Lafayette.
- 1998
Launch of the solid wood kitchen programme rollcuisine with freestanding kitchens on castors; from these developed today's freestanding solid wood kitchens.
