About Abfallhai
ANTA SWISS AG, under the Abfallhai brand, is a manufacturer of waste systems and urban furniture for public spaces, developed and produced at the Knonau site in the canton of Zurich. The core product is the Abfallhai, a waste bin made of 3 mm chromium steel V2A (1.4301), available in volumes from 35 to 220 liters, with ashtray, shark tooth or screwable base, as well as in special versions such as the Elektrohai with integrated power and water connection. Manufacturing includes laser welding, bending, rolling, welding (TIG/WIG/MAG) and final assembly of the chromium steel housings; on request, a nano surface coating is applied that makes it harder for dirt, graffiti and tags to adhere. The product range is complemented by the Solar-Presshai, the Sorterhai separation system, ashtray systems, underground systems, park benches and drinking fountains. An intelligent waste management system with fill-level sensors (Hai-Auge), the Hai app and NFC tags supports municipalities in efficient emptying processes. Customers include cities and municipalities, railway stations, airports, schools, trade fairs, shopping centers and companies in Switzerland, Germany and Austria; the company aims to achieve net-zero CO₂ emissions by 2030.
