About us
Anton Wimmer Maschinenfabrik GmbH develops and manufactures cutting-off machines and chamfer grinding machines for the precise cutting of hard materials such as carbide, HSS steels, tungsten, ceramics, titanium, tantalum, niob, spring steel, alloyed tool steels, concrete, glass and carbon fiber as well as composite materials. The product range covers the complete spectrum of abrasive cut-off machines, from the small bench-top machine through submerged cut-off machines to automatic CNC cutting machines and gantry cutting machines, complemented by manual, automatic and fully automatic chamfer grinding machines. In addition to standard machines, the company designs and builds special machines for specific customer requirements, including in carbide production, toolmaking, medical technology, metallurgy and glass and glass fiber production. Founded in 1974 in Forstinning as a tool grinding shop, the company has belonged to the Hunger Group since 2006. At its site in Kaufering in Bavaria, around 60 km west of Munich, the machines are manufactured completely on approx. 6,000 sqm of production space. Customers include Kennametal, Ceratizit, Plansee, Sandvik, Bosch, John Deere, Hermle and Leitz Tooling.
