About us
Antriebs- & Regeltechnik Schimpf GmbH is an independent, family-run mid-sized company based in Waldenbuch near Stuttgart. The company produces electric actuators with torques from 4 Nm to 650 Nm as well as control dampers for gas and air, high-temperature dampers up to 650 °C, gearboxes and accessories, primarily for industrial applications. Value creation takes place largely in-house: its own CNC turning and milling shop, its own gear and gearbox manufacturing (acquired with the Wildermuth gear factory in 2010), engineering with CAD, KISSsoft gear calculations and 3D printing, as well as assembly of all components and assemblies at the site. Materials include aluminium castings for actuator housings, grey cast iron and stainless steel for high-temperature dampers, and steel (ETG 100) for gears. The products are used in industries such as heating, air-conditioning and ventilation technology, industrial firing, chemical plants, conveying technology, printing machines, environmental technology and thermal process engineering, and are in use worldwide. In addition to standard products, customised special solutions, parts made to drawing and a retrofit service are offered.

Quality is described as a common thread running through all processes; the gas dampers SVG/SVL are EU type-tested and have been tested by TÜV SÜD for hydrogen suitability. Manufacturing, assembly and testing take place predominantly in-house.
