About Aperam Recycling (ELG)
Aperam Recycling (ELG) is part of the recycling division of the steel and raw materials group Aperam and processes around 1.1 million tonnes of recycled raw materials annually. The company sources, analyses, sorts and processes stainless steel scrap, titanium and specialty alloys, nickel-based superalloys as well as hard metal and high-speed steel. Guaranteed furnace charges in customer-specific compositions are delivered to steel mills and foundries; for the aerospace industry, ELG Utica Alloys handles revert management of superalloys and titanium. Quality assurance is carried out using digital and manual analysis and separation methods as well as highly sensitive radioactivity detectors. With 1,196 employees, 50 sites in 18 countries on five continents, and subsidiaries in the USA (ELG Metals, Inc.) and Australia (ELG Recycling Processors Pty Ltd), the company supplies steel mills, foundries, engine, turbine and propulsion manufacturing, the sports industry and the medical sector.
