APEX Dynamics Germany GmbH, headquartered in Schwäbisch Gmünd, is the sales and service company of APEX Dynamics Inc. (Taiwan), a manufacturer and developer of precision planetary gearboxes, angle and bevel gearboxes, hypoid gearboxes, racks and pinions, and servo couplings. The gearboxes can be mounted on most common servo motors and are geometrically interchangeable with many gearboxes from other manufacturers. Production takes place in-house within the group on approximately 20,000 m² of production floor space with a capacity of more than 50,000 gearboxes per month. Materials used are stainless steel, steel and aluminum; for hygienic applications, a full stainless steel series with FDA-compliant seals and NSF-H1 food-grade lubrication is available. Rack manufacturing includes gear grinding, heat treatment, induction hardening, straightening, degaussing and magnetic crack inspection. The Schwäbisch Gmünd site has its own warehouse with around 9,000 gearbox variants (lead time for standard gearboxes approx. 2 weeks) as well as a workshop for customer-specific modifications and special solutions. With 35 sales offices in 29 countries, APEX Dynamics serves customers worldwide, in Austria through its own sales organization.
