About Appenzeller Druckerei AG
Appenzeller Druckerei AG (ADAG), headquartered in Herisau, was formed on 1 April 2015 from the merger of the commercial printing operations of several traditional companies, including the Druckerei Appenzeller Volksfreund founded in 1875 in Appenzell and the Appenzeller Medienhaus established in 1837 in Herisau. The company is a 100% subsidiary of the Genossenschaft Druckerei Appenzeller Volksfreund cooperative and employs around 80 staff. It produces printed matter in offset printing including LE UV specialties and deckle-edged white, as well as digital and large-format digital printing (Printlounge), on papers, cardboard and plastic materials up to 0.8 mm thick, matt or high-gloss, and on film. The portfolio includes custom products such as wrapping paper, labels, lettering, packaging, die-cut flyers, folders, folding cartons and carrier bags, complemented by die-cutting, folding, gluing, finishing, laser cutting as well as finishing and logistics. Locations are Herisau (headquarters and offset printing), Appenzell (Druckerei Appenzeller Volksfreund including publishing house) and Wattwil (Toggenburger Druckerei with sales, consulting, prepress and digital printing). Customers come from the printing and media industry, publishing and the advertising sector.
