About Aprotek Group
Aprotek Group specializes in the development, formulation and recycling of superabsorbent polymers (SAP). Based on organic chemistry, the company develops powders and solutions that absorb, retain and solidify liquids – up to several times their own weight. The product range includes, among others, APROMUD®, a super-dewatering agent for the conditioning of sludges, excavated material, drilling muds, concrete slurries and industrial wastewater. The products are 100 % inert on mineral sludge and 100 % biodegradable on organic sludge in accordance with standard NF EN 14995. The value chain covers raw material sourcing, recycling and converting of polymers, standard and custom formulations, as well as on-site technical support with trial deployments, dosage recommendations and monitoring. The offering is rounded off by in-house laboratory and R&D services with physicochemical analysis, in cooperation with the CNRS and the University of Pau. Fields of application include environment and waste management, construction and special civil engineering, agriculture, packaging and energy. The headquarters is located in St Romain le Puy (France).

Materials and processes
Superabsorbent polymers (SAP)
Polymers that absorb, retain and solidify a multiple of their own weight in water or organic liquids.
Polyacrylates
SAP type with high absorption and solidification capacity for liquid management.
Polyacrylamides
SAP type with varying chemical properties for custom formulations.
Superabsorbent copolymers
Copolymers with carboxylic acid and carboxylate functions in controlled proportions for the solidification of liquids.
APROMUD® G350 super-dewatering agent
Super-dewatering agent (dosage 2–12 kg/m³, reaction time approx. 15 minutes) for the solidification of sludges and excavated material, among others in 25-kg bags.
Hydrogels
Superabsorbent hydrogels for water retention and management, e.g. for drought control and sealing.

Additional services
Quality
The processes from raw material sourcing through formulation to delivery are designed for continuous optimization and traceability. In the company's own laboratory, analytical methods are developed, including for the physicochemical examination of treated sludges, in collaboration with the CNRS and the University of Pau.
