Chemical-free cooling water treatment as a system
aquaEnergy GmbH, under the NoBaCor brand, develops and markets at its Forchheim location a system for chemical-free treatment of industrial cooling water. The NFX treatment unit applies defined frequency pulses to the circulating cooling water, acting in the side stream against biofilm, corrosion, limescale and germs, and is complemented by matched filtration technology, sensor systems and monitoring modules (NFX Sense, Control, Connect, Insight). Every design begins with an on-site analysis of circuit volume, materials, water chemistry and operational problems; the product range covers DN25 to DN80. Fields of application include tool and hydraulic cooling circuits in plastic injection molding, blow molding, extrusion and film blowing, deep drawing and forging tools, pilot plant systems, and process and refrigeration cooling in food production. The antimicrobial effect has been demonstrated in studies with the Leibniz-INP Greifswald, and the corrosion reduction in a long-term study with FH Westküste. More than 198 installations are documented in Germany, Poland, Italy, the USA, the Netherlands and Belgium.
