About Aquamondis
Aquamondis plans and builds turnkey production facilities for the microalga spirulina and supplies industrial customers in Europe with spirulina in bulk quantities. The company's own production facility on the Cape Verde Islands benefits from optimal climatic conditions year-round at around 24 °C and operates with a fully self-sufficient energy supply from solar and wind power. The plant technology is based on an exclusive partnership with NOVAgreen, which has over 20 years of microalgae expertise and nine reference plants in Germany. Process control is AI-supported and was tested together with Windcloud at a real spirulina farm. In addition to spirulina, the company produces phycocyanin as a natural colorant. The company is headquartered at the Technology and Ecology Center (TÖZ) in Eckernförde, Schleswig-Holstein.
