About AGAH
The Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Angewandte Humanpharmakologie e.V. (AGAH) is a medical-scientific organization based in Hamburg. Its focus is on exploratory drug development and human pharmacological research: the conception and planning of clinical pharmacological trials, regulatory and approval procedures, and their practical conduct and evaluation. In addition to the classical fields of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, its work covers the integration of biomarkers into clinical studies as well as statistical and pharmacometric methods. The AGAH offers continuing education and trainings, organizes workshops and meetings such as the PK/PD Expert Meeting, publishes position statements and guideline commentaries, and maintains offerings such as the Study Nurse Academy and the Early Career Network (ECNet). Its members and participants come from universities, the (bio)pharmaceutical industry, contract research organizations, regulatory authorities and ethics committees. The AGAH is a member of the AWMF and a founding member of EUFEMED.
