About ARCUS Greencycling Technologies

ARCUS Greencycling Technologies GmbH, based in Ludwigsburg, operates chemical recycling of plastic waste using pyrolysis based on patented ARCUS technology. The company operates Germany's first pyrolysis plant at commercial scale and industrially produces pyrolysis oil. Mixed plastic waste that is currently not mechanically recyclable and is usually destined for waste incineration is accepted as input. The pyrolysis oil serves as a feedstock for the chemical industry and can replace fossil raw materials; the cooperation partner is BASF ('together we create circularity'). The plant is located on the industrial site of Albert Weil AG in Ludwigsburg, which accompanies the company as an infrastructure and plant engineering partner. ARCUS is also a member of the Corporate Forum Chemical Recycling (UFCR) of the ThinkTank Industrial Resource Strategies and was supported by Bilfinger Engineering & Maintenance GmbH during the construction and commissioning phase of the plant.
